Deck overview

This Selesnya Superfriends deck uses Captain Sisay to access a toolbox of legendary permanents, centered around counter-doublers and high-loyalty planeswalkers. The primary game plan accelerates mana on early turns to deploy Sisay, searching for Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider or Doubling Season. When combined with these counter-doubling engines, legendary planeswalkers such as Garruk, Primal Hunter, Vivien Reid, and Elspeth, Sun's Champion enter with enough loyalty to activate their ultimate abilities immediately on resolution. This produces overwhelming token armies, massive emblems, or asymmetric board wipes. To protect its planeswalkers and setup turns, the deck runs dense creature sweepers like Wrath of God and Doomskar, along with premier protection spells including Teferi's Protection, Heroic Intervention, and the searchable Plaza of Heroes. While the deck has high midgame resilience and tutor consistency, it relies heavily on creature combat to close out games and lacks stack interaction against fast combo strategies.
