Brutality.... Zurgo wins by dodgeboy426

Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo Helmsmasher

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Mardu stax/control deck leverages Zurgo Helmsmasher as a resilient, indestructible (on your turn) voltron commander. The primary game plan is to deploy stax pieces like Rule of Law effects and mana denial (Winter Orb, Static Orb) to slow opponents, then use board wipes to clear the path. The deck aims to equip Zurgo with powerful equipment, most notably Worldslayer, to create a soft lock by destroying all other permanents each combat. Alternative lines include equipping with swords or Blackblade Reforged for commander damage kills.
