Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Izzet combo and wheel strategy led by The Locust God. The game plan accelerates mana through low-cost artifacts and rituals to deploy The Locust God ahead of schedule. Once the commander resolves, the deck chains symmetrical draw effects such as Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Time Spiral to build a massive army of 1/1 flying, hasty Insect tokens while sculpting a perfect hand. Its primary instant-win route utilizes Sage of the Falls, which creates a self-sustaining draw and token loop that mills the library and provides enough hasty attackers or ETB burn triggers from Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors to eliminate all opponents on the spot. Free countermagic like Deflecting Swat and Force of Negation shields the combo turns, while Narset, Parter of Veils offers an alternate disruptive line by stripping opposing hands to zero.
