Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Legendary Aggro-Midrange strategy commanded by Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness. The deck deploys an aggressive curve of cheap, high-synergy legendary creatures such as Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful, Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, and Karlov of the Ghost Council. Once Ardbert enters the battlefield, casting white and black spells distributes +1/+1 counters to all legendary creatures while granting them vigilance and menace until end of turn. The deck transitions into a lethal threat on Turn 5 by pairing this scaling wide board with asymmetric sweepers like Damning Verdict and Urza's Ruinous Blast, or overrun finishers like Akroma's Will. Robust protection from Grand Abolisher, Flawless Maneuver, and Boromir, Warden of the Tower keeps key permanents alive against standard interaction. Additionally, the deck harbors a compact infinite loop with Ratadrabik of Urborg and Boromir, Warden of the Tower, enabling infinite enter-the-battlefield and death triggers that can close games when supported by aristocrat payoffs.
