Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis Rat tribal and aristocrats deck commanded by Wick, the Whorled Mind. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost Rat creatures to establish a wide board, continuously triggering Wick to enlarge a Snail token with +1/+1 counters. Once assembled, Wick converts this Snail into direct burn against all opponents while refilling your hand. Powerful tribal multipliers such as Coat of Arms, Shared Animosity, Purphoros, God of the Forge, and Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm amplify combat pressure, while mass token spells like Song of Totentanz and Plague of Vermin rapidly create game-ending boards. The list is supported by efficient free interaction (Fierce Guardianship, Force of Negation, Deadly Rollick) and robust draw engines (Skullclamp, The One Ring, Black Market Connections) to protect its board and rebuild swiftly from disruption.
