Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Serpent Society is a black-green deathtouch-and-poison deck. Its primary plan is to land early deathtouch creatures, convert each hit into two poison counters with Fynn, the Fangbearer, and finish with proliferate effects or Triumph of the Hordes. The commander provides an extra deathtouch attacker and punishes opponents when other deathtouch creatures die, which also fuels Hooded Blightfang and Poison-Tip Archer drain. Secondary lines are the Bloodthirsty Conqueror + South Wind Avatar life-loss loop and Vraska's assassins. Aphelia, Viper Whisperer and Fynn are key lieutenants, but Fynn is effectively the hidden commander: without Fynn the poison clock slows dramatically.
