Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Squirrel tribal and token aristocrats strategy commanded by Hazel of the Rootbloom. The game plan revolves around rapidly generating creature and artifact tokens (Squirrels, Food, Treasures), multiplying them with Hazel's end-step duplication trigger, and turning wide boards into massive mana with Hazel's activated ability or Insidious Roots. Once an extensive token board is established, the deck transitions into a lethal win condition through mass combat pumps like Beastmaster Ascension, Overrun, and The Odd Acorn Gang, or through heavy life-drain triggers from Valley Rotcaller, Mirkwood Bats, and Cauldron of Essence. The deck features strong creature recursion with cards like Back for Seconds, Curious Forager, and Vat of Rebirth, ensuring high resilience against single-target removal and board wipes. While it excels at overwhelming grounded boards and generating immense mana, it is vulnerable to exile sweepers and airborne attacks.
