Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black control deck built entirely around the commander Maha, Its Feathers Night. Maha's static ability sets every opponent creature's base toughness to 1, transforming any -1/-1 counter or -X/-X effect into a one-sided board wipe. The deck is packed with mass -X/-X spells (Toxic Deluge, Black Sun's Zenith, The Meathook Massacre), -1/-1 counter sources (Carnifex Demon, Liliana, Death Wielder), and drain effects (Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Blood Artist, Falkenrath Noble) that turn creature deaths into life-total pressure. A secondary win condition is Revel in Riches combined with Nest of Scarabs to generate a critical mass of Treasures. The game plan is slow and grindy: stabilise the board, grind out card advantage through death-trigger draw, and eventually drain the table.
