The Ur Dragon by user9274719

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a five-color Dragon-tribal deck that uses The Ur-Dragon's eminence discount and attack-trigger card draw to flood the battlefield with high-value Dragons. Ramp spells and fast artifacts get to the commander early, while Hellkite Courser can cheat The Ur-Dragon in with haste for an immediate draw-and-cheat. The deck has multiple combo finishes: the two Niv-Mizzets create an infinite damage loop, and Aggravated Assault/Time Sieve plus Treasure producers (Old Gnawbone, Ancient Copper Dragon) generate infinite combat steps or extra turns. Tutors and strong draw provide consistency, and a suite of protective spells (Teferi's Protection, Everybody Lives!) shields the lethal push. The deck is resilient and packs broad removal, though it lacks counterspells.
