Deck overview

This Boros Voltron deck pairs Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist with Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh to create one of the fastest and most efficient combat damage engines in Commander. Rograkh enters on Turn 1 for zero mana, providing a keywords-heavy evasive threat with first strike, menace, and trample. On Turn 3, Ardenn enters and immediately bypasses heavy equip costs at the start of combat, attaching massive artifacts like Colossus Hammer and Excalibur, Sword of Eden directly to Rograkh. Dense equipment tutors and redundant damage multipliers, such as Two-Handed Axe, Lizard Blades, and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, allow the deck to threaten lethal commander damage as early as Turn 3 and close the game across multiple opponents by Turn 5. A robust suite of protection equipment, including Swiftfoot Boots and colored protection Swords, keeps the central threat safe from spot removal once attached.
