Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Faerie tribal tempo strategy commanded by Obyra, Dreaming Duelist. The game plan revolves around playing almost entirely at instant speed, casting flash creatures and interaction during opponents' turns while steadily draining the table with Obyra's triggered ability. In the early game, the deck establishes low-cost evasive threats and token generators such as Bitterblossom and Bitterbloom Bearer, supported by draw engines like Wavebreak Hippocamp and Talion, the Kindly Lord. As the game transitions into the mid-game, tribal lords like Scion of Oona and Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor boost the Faerie swarm, while a prowled Notorious Throng doubles the board presence and grants an extra turn. A comprehensive suite of cheap counterspells and flash interaction protects the board and disrupts opposing game plans, enabling the deck to maintain tempo control and close out the game through combined evasive combat damage and life drain by Turn 8.
