Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Midrange Voltron list commanded by Thanos, the Mad Titan with Obosh, the Preypiercer as a companion. Built under Obosh's strict odd-mana restriction, it eschews 2-CMC ramp and staples in favor of 1-mana dorks, 3-mana ramp, and high-impact odd payoffs. The primary plan leverages Thanos's power-up ability to sweep opposing boards of either odd or even creatures while growing into a 6/6 deathtouch lifelink threat. Once Obosh is cast from the companion zone, Thanos deals double damage, swinging for 12 commander damage per combat. Because the list runs zero nonland tutors and relies on single-target combat damage, closing out a 4-player pod takes multiple turn cycles. It compensates with massive lifegain from Thanos and an array of independent odd-cost finishers like Zurgo Helmsmasher and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames.
