Deck overview

This Boros Voltron deck is commanded by Kassandra, Eagle Bearer, built with a thematic emphasis on historical spear and ballista armaments. The core engine functions with exceptional consistency because casting Kassandra automatically fetches The Spear of Leonidas straight from the library to the battlefield. Once equipped, Kassandra generates recurring card advantage while selecting modal combat buffs each turn. The deck scales into a lethal threat by deploying massive legendary equipment such as Excalibur, Sword of Eden and Caduceus, Staff of Hermes, converting Kassandra into a 24-power double-striking commander capable of eliminating opponents in single hits starting around Turn 6. While the deck boasts built-in recovery—since recasting Kassandra retrieves the Spear from the graveyard—it is constrained by low mana acceleration, numerous taplands, and an interaction suite heavy on thematic burn spells rather than universal answers.
