Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx kindred archetype commanded by The Ur-Sphinx, designed to ramp aggressively, deploy massive flying threats ahead of curve, and overwhelm opponents through card advantage and aerial combat. The commander provides an indelible Eminence discount that reduces the cost of all Sphinx spells by {1} throughout the match. Supported by 12 low-cost mana rocks, the deck reliably deploys card-flow engines like Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, Kindred Discovery, and Defiler of Dreams by Turn 4. Critical onset occurs around Turn 6 with lethal threats like Magister Sphinx, Sphinx of the Steel Wind, and The Ur-Sphinx. The deck defends its board with efficient spot removal, countermagic, and Clever Concealment, closing games over two response cycles on Turn 8 via evasive flying damage.
