Cascade into Loops by JNesselroad3

Format: Commander

Commander: Averna, the Chaos Bloom

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Temur cascade/landfall deck built around Averna, the Chaos Bloom's ability to turn cascaded-away lands into extra battlefield lands. The core plan is to chain cheap cascade spells like Bloodbraid Elf, Shardless Agent, and Violent Outburst while landfall engines such as Lotus Cobra, Tireless Provisioner, and Tireless Tracker convert every extra land into mana, tokens, and cards. Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty and Maelstrom Wanderer give the top end explosive multi-cascade turns, while Field of the Dead provides a steady token finish. The deck also carries compact infinite packages: Food Chain plus Squee, the Immortal, and Dockside Extortionist plus Temur Sabertooth, typically converted into a hasty Maelstrom Wanderer-fueled cascade beatdown. Averna accelerates the plan but is not required for it; the 99 can execute most of the deck's power without her.
