Deck overview

This is an Esper combo-control deck built around two compact wins. The primary life-loop plan uses Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or the substitute Enduring Tenacity, then supplies the first life-loss or life-gain event with Exsanguinate or a qualifying Y'shtola, Night's Blessed trigger. The separate Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation line is faster when its cards and mana are available. Tutors, fetch lands, acceleration, and a substantial counterspell package give the deck credible access and protection. Y'shtola, Night's Blessed rewards repeated large noncreature spells with life and cards, while Black Market Connections, Mystic Remora, and Necropotence improve longer games. The main weakness is assembly density: most tutors find only one required card, and the deck contains several slower defensive permanents and tapped lands. Its ordinary primary clock is around turn 7, although exceptional hands can win earlier.
