Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Black Aristocrats control build commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel. The central strategy revolves around deploying efficient recurring sacrifice fodder and low-cost symmetrical edict creatures to trigger Sephiroth's draw and drain abilities. In a four-player game, a single edict creature like Accursed Marauder or Plaguecrafter forces four simultaneous creature deaths, immediately fulfilling Sephiroth's condition to transform into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel and creating the permanent, non-interactable Super Nova emblem. Once transformed, the deck leverages continuous attrition engines like Dictate of Erebos, Braids, Arisen Nightmare, and Archfiend of Depravity to starve opponents of creatures while amplifying life loss through Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Blood Artist. A backup infinite loop featuring Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Putrid Goblin provides instant lethality through any sacrifice outlet. While vulnerable to noncreature artifacts and stack-based combo, the deck dominates creature-centric tables through inescapable drain and relentless board suppression.
