Never gonna Monarch by McSquizor18

Format: Commander

Commander: Garland, Royal Kidnapper

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Garland, Royal Kidnapper leads a midrange theft/monarch deck. The deck's primary line is to become monarch on turns 3-4, steal the best creature from whoever holds the crown, then use Garland's pump and sacrifice protection to turn the stolen board into a fast clock. Secondary paths are goad-based removal, ETB kidnappers, and a heavy reanimation package. Gyruda and The Cyber-Controller add a mill-to-theft subtheme but aren't a true second commander. The deck has no infinite combo; it wins incrementally by accumulating opponents' threats and punching through with +2/+2 stolen creatures.
