Deck overview

This deck executes a Mardu control and Voltron game plan led by Kelsien, the Plague. By granting Kelsien deathtouch through equipment like Basilisk Collar and Gorgon's Head, any ping instantly destroys an opposing creature and awards an experience counter. Untap engines such as Sting, the Glinting Dagger and Drumbellower turn Kelsien into a multi-target sniper across every player's turn. Because experience counters stay on the player permanently, Kelsien's power and toughness grow relentlessly, quickly threatening lethal commander damage. Secondary payoffs like Otharri, Suns' Glory and Minthara, Merciless Soul leverage those same counters to create wide token boards and massive stat buffs. A dense suite of low-cost mana rocks, equipment tutors, and flexible Mardu removal ensures reliable setup and interactive board control.
