Deck overview

This deck is a Boros spellslinger and control engine helmed by Lorehold, the Historian. Lorehold provides a unique cost-reduction mechanic by granting every instant and sorcery card in hand miracle {2}. Because Lorehold triggers a discard-and-draw rummage at the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, any instant or sorcery drawn this way is the first card drawn that turn, allowing normally slow, devastating sorceries to be cast at instant speed for just two mana. The deck leverages topdeck manipulators like Library of Leng, Penance, and Sensei's Divining Top to set up game-ending spells such as Storm Herd, Rise of the Eldrazi, Soulfire Eruption, and Farewell. Untap artifacts like Bender's Waterskin and Victory Chimes guarantee mana is open across every opponent's turn. The game finishes through overwhelming flying token swarms buffed by Akroma's Will or a fast double-cast of Approach of the Second Sun.
