Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari graveyard strategy that uses Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord as a commander and table-wide finisher. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through ramp spells like Sakura-Tribe Elder and Rampant Growth while filling the graveyard with self-mill pieces such as Stitcher's Supplier, Grisly Salvage, and Life from the Loam. In the midgame, engines like Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Conduit of Worlds, and Wrenn and Seven generate steady card flow and land advantage. The deck wins by casting or reanimating massive creatures—primarily Lord of Extinction, whose power scales with all graveyards, or Jumbo Cactuar after its attack trigger—and sacrificing them to Jarad's activated ability. This deals lethal direct life loss to each opponent simultaneously on Turn 6. While vulnerable to graveyard exile and lacking fast creature tutors, the deck maintains high redundancy among tall threats and resilient recursion.
