Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis Wheels and Group Slug strategy piloted by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The primary objective is to weaponize the fundamental game action of card draw. The deck ramps during the early turns to deploy Nekusar or complementary punishers such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Underworld Dreams, and Fate Unraveler. Once a damage engine is established on Turn 4, the deck unleashes symmetric wheel effects including Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Time Spiral on Turn 5. Each wheel inflicts substantial multi-target damage while forcibly resetting opponents' hands. Synergistic engines like Waste Not provide immense mana and token generation, while Underworld Breach allows the deck to recast spent wheels directly from the graveyard to rapidly close out games. Supported by a robust counterspell package, flexible spot removal, and brutal asymmetric payoffs like Notion Thief, the deck consistently controls the game's tempo while draining opposing life totals across two fast response cycles.
