Deck overview

This mono-black deck combines aristocrats sacrifice loops and reanimator strategies under Witch-king of Angmar. The commander provides defensive deterrence and an indestructible discard outlet that facilitates graveyard setup. The core plan deploys early token generators and recursive creatures like Bitterblossom and Bloodghast, converting them into overwhelming card advantage with Skullclamp and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. It accesses high-impact threats either by reanimating bombs like Archon of Cruelty and Kokusho, the Evening Star or by searching out the infinite two-card combo of Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Supported by asymmetric board control pieces like Grave Pact and massive mana engines like Cabal Coffers into Torment of Hailfire, the deck reliably establishes engine dominance on Turn 4 and closes out the game on Turn 5.
