Deck overview

This deck is a focused mono-green stompy strategy centered on Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan accelerates mana on Turn 1 to deploy severely overstatted creatures like Steel Leaf Champion and Pugnacious Hammerskull on Turn 2 and 3. Reaching 10 to 12 total board power enables Ghalta to enter for just two green mana as early as Turn 3 or 4. Once Ghalta is on the battlefield, the deck converts her 12 power into explosive card draw through spells like Return of the Wildspeaker, Rishkar's Expertise, and Last March of the Ents, or massive mana generation via Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and The Great Henge. Lethal combat damage follows swiftly using team-wide trample and overrun effects such as Overwhelming Stampede and The Skullspore Nexus. Efficient protection spells ensure the board survives removal while closing out games by Turn 6.
