Deck overview

This Boros equipment deck is built to make Lightning, Army of One a one-shot commander-damage threat. Lightning's 'stagger' replacement doubles all damage dealt to an opponent after it hits, so the deck pairs that trigger with double strike or extra combat. Reyav, Master Smith and Aurelia, the Warleader are the hidden lieutenants that unlock one-turn kills. Equipment tutors such as Steelshaper's Gift, Open the Armory, and Cloud assemble Blackblade Reforged or Mjolnir, while The Arkenstone finds the legendary outlet. The fallback engine is Aggravated Assault plus Sword of Feast and Famine and The Reaver Cleaver, producing infinite combats and treasures. Cheap draw engines like Sram and Puresteel Paladin keep the deck moving toward a single, dense combat turn.
