Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Voltron strategy centered on Lazav, the Multifarious. The game plan uses early self-mill, looting, and targeted graveyard tutors to load the graveyard with specialized utility and high-power creature cards. Once assembled, Lazav attacks unblocked by copying cheap evasive creatures like Invisible Stalker or Changeling Outcast. Before damage resolves, Lazav uses its instant-speed activated ability to copy cards like Vector Asp for infect and The Ancient One or Phage the Untouchable for lethal one-shot combat damage. The list supports this primary clock with disruptive tools such as Notion Thief paired with wheel effects, targeted removal, and defensive copy targets like Iron-Shield Elf to protect the commander. While highly lethal in single combat, the deck requires three separate combat steps to eliminate a full table and relies heavily on keeping its graveyard intact against exile effects.
