Commander: Esior, Wardwing Familiar and Benedikta Harman

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Azorius Bird tribal deck is helmed by the partner pair Esior, Wardwing Familiar and Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker. It plays a tempo-aggro game: deploy evasive Birds, grow Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker off opposing spells, and keep the board protected with a dense suite of instant-speed tricks, counterspells, and phasing effects. The primary win path is combat damage with a large, flying, often double-striking Ishai - Blackblade Reforged, Battle Mastery, and All That Glitters turn her into a one-shot kill. Kastral, the Windcrested and Kindred Discovery provide the card flow that keeps the deck fueled, while Approach of the Second Sun offers a non-combat alternative. The deck is built to fumble opponents' plans and punish attempts to interact, then close the game through commander damage.
