Deck overview

Marvo's clash trigger is the deck's cost-cheating engine: stack a high-mana card on top, attack, win the clash, then cast any 8-or-less spell in hand free. The surveil shell (Doom Whisperer, Curate, Consider, Mission Briefing) sets that top card and fills the graveyard, feeding reanimation and payoffs like Syr Konrad and Mirko. The commander remains relevant all game; if he is removed, the deck pivots to a Dimir reanimator plan. The hidden engine is Sphinx of the Second Sun plus Twilight Prophet: extra beginning phases turn one upkeep drain into several, while Grave Titan and Rise of the Dark Realms turn a stocked graveyard into a lethal board.
