Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control strategy helmed by Massacre Girl, Known Killer. It leverages -1/-1 counter distribution, wither combat mechanics, and a dense cycling package to control the battlefield. Massacre Girl turns opposing creature deaths with negative toughness into steady card draw, transforming defensive removal into card advantage. The deck ramps through black mana staples such as Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Sol Ring, using high-powered tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor to assemble key pieces. Powerful engines such as Archfiend of Ifnir and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician lock opponents out of creature-based strategies by wiping boards repeatedly. The deck closes games through an infinite drain loop combining Blowfly Infestation, Nest of Scarabs, and Blood Artist, or through overwhelming drain from Massacre Wurm and Faith of the Devoted. While highly effective against creature strategies, it relies on speed and discard to offset mono-black's vulnerability to resolved non-creature permanents.
