Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain and taxation control strategy commanded by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. Liesa bypasses traditional commander tax using life payments, constantly punishing opponents for casting spells while stabilizing your life total with lifelink. You leverage low-cost soul sisters and life-taxing permanents to build an asymmetrical resource advantage and pressure life totals. The primary path to victory is assembling an infinite life-drain loop using Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest paired with Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Alternatively, you can laser down opponents using Aetherflux Reservoir or overwhelm them with large fliers.
