Deck overview

The deck uses Avacyn, Angel of Horror as a delayed recursion engine for sacrifice creatures. Grave Pact, Ashnod's Altar, Blood Artist, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and repeated edict creatures turn deaths into creature attrition, life loss, and mana. Large-mana cards such as Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Nirkana Revenant support late Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire. The plan has strong value once assembled, but the commander and primary enchantment are expensive, access is limited, and the deck lacks reliable protection. It can dominate creature-heavy tables without immediately ending the game. Opponents retain meaningful noncreature development, graveyard hate, exile removal, and counterplay. The deck is therefore a slow general-power build rather than a competitive combo deck. Its best games establish recurring sacrifice pressure, generate cards through Braids, Arisen Nightmare or Phyrexian Arena, and use accumulated mana for a large finishing spell.
