Deck overview

This Temur deck leverages Ureni of the Unwritten as a high-velocity Dragon cheat engine. The deck spends its opening turns developing mana through low-cost artifact ramp and land search spells to reach seven mana by Turn 5. Upon entering and attacking, Ureni digs eight cards deep to cheat massive Dragon threats into play without paying their mana costs. Key payoffs like Atarka, World Render, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Scourge of the Throne rapidly compound flying power, turning single combat steps into table-ending assaults. Haste enablers such as Dragon Tempest and Temur Ascendancy accelerate combat timing while replenishing hand resources. Although the deck boasts high internal redundancy and explosive damage output, its heavy reliance on creature combat and lack of dedicated stack interaction or defensive protection spells make it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers and fast combo strategies.
