Deck overview

This deck leverages Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign as an explosive resource and tempo engine in the command zone. Supported by low-cost mana rocks and rituals, the deck accelerates Yennett onto the battlefield on Turn 4. On Turn 5, Yennett attacks to trigger its ability, revealing the top card of the library and casting odd-mana-value spells without paying their mana costs. The list packs crushing odd payoffs such as Void Winnower, Expropriate, Toxrill, the Corrosive, Breach the Multiverse, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. Topdeck manipulation tools like Sensei's Divining Top and Aminatou, the Fateshifter ensure Yennett hits devastating payloads rather than lands or low-impact spells. A secondary win condition exists through Doomsday or Demonic Consultation paired with Laboratory Maniac. While the deck exerts crushing asymmetric board control once its bombs land, its primary vulnerability lies in Yennett's lack of haste and minimal defensive shielding.
