Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir tempo-burn strategy commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary plan is simple and ruthless: deploy an unblockable creature on Turn 1, cheat Yuriko into play on Turn 2 via commander ninjutsu, and immediately begin drawing cards while draining each opponent. The deck weaponizes cards with abnormally high mana values—such as Draco, Shadow of Mortality, and Blinkmoth Infusion—which cost little or nothing in relevant contexts or exist purely to be revealed to Yuriko's trigger. Cantrips like Brainstorm, Ponder, and Lim-Dûl's Vault manipulate the top of the library to ensure maximum life loss per swing. Because commander ninjutsu bypasses the commander tax and functions from the command zone at instant speed, Yuriko easily shrugs off removal. Backed by cheap disruption and free spells, the deck pressures the entire table simultaneously, ending games around Turn 6.
