Deck overview

This Dimir deck combines unblockable creatures with the Cipher mechanic and spell-cast token generators to overwhelm opponents. Early turns focus on deploying evasive threats like Invisible Stalker and Benthic Infiltrator, backed by cheap mana rocks. In the midgame, encoding Cipher spells like Hidden Strings, Last Thoughts, and Stolen Identity onto unblockable attackers generates continuous value. Because Cipher copies are cast, they trigger Magecraft and spell-cast payoffs such as Talrand, Sky Summoner, Chrome Host Seedshark, and Shark Typhoon, quickly amassing a lethal airborne army. Xanathar, Guild Kingpin serves as a top-end utility commander, freezing the most dangerous opponent's spellcasting on your turn while stealing their topdeck options. The deck closes games through compounded combat damage across turns 7 to 9.
