Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis mid-power synergy engine helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, blending Villain typal beatdown with discard-based attrition and burn. The game plan focuses on ramping in the early turns, establishing Doctor Doom on turn 4, and utilizing his combat trigger to connive and drain life when lands are discarded. As the midgame progresses, redundant discard payoffs like Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Cool but Rude, and Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon scale alongside token creators like Ultron, Unlimited and Living Laser. Asymmetric creature control from Archfiend of Ifnir and M.O.D.O.K. clears opposing boards, allowing the deck to close games through unblockable menace attacks and table-wide life loss by turn 8. Strong interaction and protection spells like Fierce Guardianship and Change of Plans ensure engine stability.
