Recursion Token Warhammer by mavado

Commander: Imotekh the Stormlord

Deck overview

A mono-black artifact-reanimator deck helmed by Imotekh the Stormlord. The primary engine is the commander's Phaeron trigger: every time one or more artifact cards leave the graveyard, Imotekh creates two 2/2 Necron Warrior tokens, and the deck is built to make that happen constantly. Unearth creatures (Chronomancer, Skorpekh Lord, Ghost Ark), artifact-recall creatures (Myr Retriever, Junk Diver, Scrap Trawler) and mass recursion (Living Death, Technomancer, The Soul Stone) keep the graveyard cycling, while Mesmeric Orb, Ripples of Undeath and Szarekh, the Silent King fuel the mill. The token horde is powered up by Skorpekh Lord, Imotekh's combat pump, Cybermen Squadron and - most importantly - Krang, Utrom Warlord, who gives all artifact creatures haste, flying, trample and indestructible. The secondary plan is entombing and reanimating big threats like Krang, Utrom Warlord, Wurmcoil Engine and Cityscape Leveler. A compact infinite loop with Ashnod's Altar plus twin retrievers and Foundry Inspector closes games through infinite tokens and Bolas's Citadel.
