Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger control build designed to win through an instant-speed combo with its commander, Niv-Mizzet, Parun. The primary strategy focuses on hitting land drops, developing mana rocks, and sculpting a hand with efficient cantrips and draw spells. The deck controls the board using cheap counterspells, bounce spells, and targeted removal while deploying incremental burn engines. Once ready, the deck casts Niv-Mizzet and attaches Curiosity or pairs Tandem Lookout. Drawing a single card initiates a continuous loop: Niv-Mizzet deals one damage to an opponent on each draw, and Curiosity triggers another draw. This cycle draws the remaining library and deals lethal damage across the table in a single turn. Backup win conditions include noncombat burn scaling with Niv-Mizzet, Visionary and board control with Hullbreaker Horror. The deck excels at card flow and uncounterable instant-speed threats, but requires strict colored mana and lacks direct enchantment tutors.
