Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis spellslinger control deck led by Zevlor, Elturel Exile. The strategy focuses on using Zevlor's ability to turn single-target spells into asymmetric three-for-one effects that target every opponent simultaneously. The deck controls the board during the early turns using efficient spot removal and counterspells, supported by cost reducers like Baral, Chief of Compliance and Stormcatch Mentor. Once Zevlor is active, spells like Bribery, Involuntary Employment, and Strategic Betrayal steal the strongest opposing threats and dismantle opposing graveyards. As the game develops, redundant finishers such as Thousand-Year Storm, Prismari, the Inspiration, Ral, Storm Conduit, and Ghastly Conscription scale spell casts into lethal storm turns, massive burn damage, or overwhelming combat swings. The deck balances reactive disruption with high-impact sorceries to pull ahead on resources and close games around Turn 8.
