Hapatra by lumen

Format: Commander

Commander: Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a focused -1/-1 counter synergy engine helmed by Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. The primary game plan weaves three parallel threads: flooding the board with deathtouch Snake tokens via Hapatra's trigger, deploying counter-multiplier effects like Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs, and eventually pivoting to a compact infinite-drain combo using a sacrifice outlet such as Ashnod's Altar. The deck also leverages poison counters through Fynn, the Fangbearer and drain effects from Blood Artist and Mirkwood Bats as secondary win paths. While it has no stack interaction or traditional tutors, it compensates with an extraordinary density of -1/-1 counter enablers (over 20 cards) that make its core plan highly redundant. The commander accelerates the token engine but the deck's combos and value loops can still function without her, albeit more slowly.
