Deck overview

This deck is a focused Rakdos Dragon Tribal and Reanimator strategy piloted by Rivaz of the Claw. Rivaz functions as both a dedicated ramp engine—tapping for two mana toward Dragon spells—and a persistent graveyard recursion outlet. The deck leverages dense early ramp and tribal cost reducers to cast massive flying threats well ahead of curve. Cards like Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, and Scourge of Valkas convert creature deployments into immediate direct damage, while token generators such as Lathliss, Dragon Queen and Utvara Hellkite rapidly scale board presence. Graveyard enablers like Entomb and Buried Alive bypass high casting costs by setting up early reanimation lines or providing Rivaz with steady fuel. The deck relies on asymmetric board wipes like Crux of Fate to control the table while its evasive Dragon army closes out games through overwhelming aerial combat and burn.
