Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counters attrition strategy led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The primary game plan distributes -1/-1 counters across both sides of the battlefield to draw cards from your own creatures and drain life from opponents. Early turns accelerate mana using ramp spells like Farseek, Ignoble Hierarch, and Devoted Druid. On Turn 4, the deck casts Auntie Ool and follows on Turn 5 with mass counter distributors like Soul Snuffers, Carnifex Demon, and Kulrath Knight. This establishes a strong board lock that shuts down enemy attacks while rapidly lowering opposing life totals. While the deck lacks stack counterspells and dedicated instant protection, it compensates with high card draw velocity, graveyard recursion, and efficient spot removal like Assassin's Trophy and Fire Covenant. The deck finishes games on Turn 7 through steady drain triggers, stolen creatures via Necroskitter, and combat damage.
