Deck overview

This Orzhov deck uses Liesa, Forgotten Archangel as both an asymmetric graveyard hate piece and a recursive engine for creature-heavy boards. The deck integrates Angel tribal synergies, lifegain triggers, and aristocrat sacrifice mechanics. During early turns, it deploys utility creatures and modest mana acceleration to set up Liesa by Turn 5. Once Liesa is active, dying nontoken creatures return to hand at each end step, allowing you to reuse enter-the-battlefield triggers and sacrifice fodder while exiling opposing creatures that die. The primary win condition relies on building an overwhelming aerial and token army through payoffs like Cathars' Crusade, Lyra Dawnbringer, Sephara, Sky's Blade, and Ghoulcaller Gisa, backed by passive drain from Syr Konrad, the Grim. The deck features solid board wipes and versatile removal, though its reliance on sorcery-speed spells and high-cost permanents leaves it vulnerable to well-timed opposing sweepers and faster combo strategies.
