08_14_2026 Azula Reworking by Roberts_41

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula is a Grixis spellslinger storm deck with a compact Thoracle package as its fastest independent kill. The commander's firebending trigger converts each attack into {R}{R} and copies every spell cast during combat, so rituals become mana engines and cantrips become card advantage. Birgi acts as a hidden engine in the 99, while Bonus Round and Reiterate multiply the chain. Secondary lines are the 3-mana Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact + Thassa's Oracle combo, Underworld Breach recursion, and Dualcaster Mage + Twinflame tokens. The deck can win without ever casting Azula; using her attack step is the highest-ceiling but not the only path.
