Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger control deck commander by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The strategy revolves around placing flood counters on lands whenever Eluge enters or attacks, which grants cumulative cost reductions for the first instant or sorcery cast on every player's turn. With these substantial discounts, the deck holds up countermagic and instant-speed card draw efficiently while triggering token producers like Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic, and Alandra, Sky Dreamer. Over multiple turn cycles, these engines generate an overwhelming army of flying Drakes and Illusions to close out the game through combat damage. The deck features strong reactive stack interaction and card replenishment, but it runs a very low land count of 29 lands, making early mana development and mulligan discipline critical to ensure Eluge lands on schedule.
