Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable commands a Rakdos deck centered on damage redirection, mass damage board wipes, and explosive Treasure generation. Because Smaug is an indestructible dragon with haste, he turns symmetry-breaking damage sweepers and burn spells like Blasphemous Act, Chain Reaction, and Shivan Meteor into massive bursts of mana without dying. The deck leverages this immense Treasure output to trigger drain engines like Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver, and Mayhem Devil, or to achieve instant artifact-based victories through Hellkite Tyrant, Knuckles the Echidna, and Revel in Riches. Secondary lines rely on indestructible redirectors and heavy dragons to dominate combat and burn opponents.
