Deck overview

This Golgari Aristocrats deck leverages Savra, Queen of the Golgari to control the board while racing toward compact combo finishes and relentless life drain. The primary game plan accelerates through low-cost mana dorks and rituals into explosive card engines like Necropotence, Skullclamp, and Bolas's Citadel. On Turn 4, the deck threatens an instant must-answer state by resolving Sedgemoor Witch alongside Chain of Smog, copying the spell indefinitely to generate infinite 1/1 Pest creature tokens and infinite life triggers upon sacrifice. Alternatively, the deck grinds down opposing creature boards through Savra's repeatable edict triggers paired with recursive fodder like Gravecrawler and free sacrifice outlets such as Phyrexian Altar and Warren Soultrader. With aristocrat drain pieces like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Dina, Soul Steeper, the deck converts sacrifices into lethal table-wide damage by Turn 5. Dense graveyard recursion and uncounterable protection spells ensure high resilience against board wipes and targeted interaction.
