Deck overview

This mono-blue combo-control deck leverages Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun to grant all instant and sorcery spells split second, completely shutting down opposing counterspells and activated stack responses. Powered by a hyper-efficient fast mana package including Mana Vault, Sol Ring, Grim Monolith, and zero-drop Moxen, the deck accelerates into Turn 3 must-answer states. Its primary path to victory chains a deep pool of 12 extra-turn spells—such as Time Warp, Capture of Jingzhou, and Temporal Manipulation—into overwhelming card advantage engines like The One Ring. Alternatively, it assembles the compact Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal infinite mana loop to draw the library and finish with an uncounterable Brain Freeze storm kill or Thassa's Oracle. Backed by top-tier free countermagic and resilient recovery routes, the deck applies decisive, protected pressure with zero response cycles granted to opponents.
