Format: Commander

Commander: Norin the Wary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-red deck uses Norin the Wary as a reusable blink trigger to mass-produce enter triggers from token makers and red damage amplifiers. The core loop is to control the board with pillow-fort and stax effects, then either burn out opponents with repeated ping triggers or convert tokens into mana for a huge fireball-style finish. The deck is a grind deck that wins through attrition, not speed, and it works with or without the commander, though Norin greatly accelerates the engine. Secondary paths involve stealing permanents with Confusion in the Ranks and big burn spells. The hidden commander is Confusion in the Ranks, which creates a lock when combined with Norin's constant flickering. The double-faced commander is not applicable; Norin is single-faced.
