Deck overview

This Simic deck is helmed by Kenessos, Priest of Thassa, leveraging scry synergy and topdeck manipulation to cheat massive Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents into play for four mana. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient mana dorks and rocks, deploying Kenessos on Turn 2. Continuous scry enablers like Sensei's Divining Top, Sylvan Library, and Thassa, God of the Sea benefit from Kenessos's passive scry buff, allowing precise curation of the library's top card. On Turn 4 to 5, Kenessos activates at instant speed on an opponent's end step, deploying devastating threats such as Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Hullbreaker Horror, or Spawning Kraken while bypassing traditional mana costs. The deck converts this board presence into victory via unblockable attacks and one-sided bounces like Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets. While resilient against countermagic due to put-onto-battlefield triggers, the list remains vulnerable to early removal targeting Kenessos.
